Proactive Protekt Aire 4600DXAB Mattress System
The Protekt® Aire 4600DXAB combines low-air-loss and alternating-pressure therapy in a mattress system with raised side air bolsters and a digital pump. The pump provides adjustable pressure settings, a preset 10-minute alternating cycle, static mode for transfers, and an audio/visual low-pressure alarm. Auto Compressor Sleep Technology (ACST) turns off the compressor after the selected pressure is reached.
Mattress and cover
Raised side perimeter air bolsters help reduce accidental roll-outs and entrapment risks, and center cut-outs support entry and exit. The cell-on-cell design uses a one-way valve to retain air in the lower four inches of the cells during a power failure. Eighteen laser holes provide low-air-loss ventilation. The mattress also has a static head section and pillow-top feature, plus a fluid-resistant, antimicrobial/antibacterial, vapor-permeable stretch nylon cover.
Use and care
Have the patient's clinician select the appropriate support surface and settings. Follow the owner's manual for setup, alarm response, transfer mode, cleaning, and compatibility with the bed frame and rails. Side bolsters do not replace caregiver monitoring or the care team's fall-prevention procedures.
Size, capacity and warranty
