Pride Go Go Elite Traveller Gen 3 Platinum SC443EMS - Black
This listing selects the Black finish for the Go Go Elite Traveller Gen 3 Platinum. The color option changes its appearance, while the model configuration and operating characteristics described below remain those of this exact parent model.
This FDA Class II medical device is designed to aid individuals with mobility impairments. Specifications may change, and speed and range vary with rider load, terrain and battery condition. HCPCS references do not guarantee reimbursement.
Platinum is about the daily interactions
The Go Go Elite Traveller Gen 3 Platinum builds on the roomy-deck, four-wheel Gen 3 platform, but its most persuasive upgrades appear in the tasks you repeat: setting the tiller and connecting the charger. Charge360 magnetic charging and an easy-to-reach foot pedal for tiller adjustment are the defining conveniences of the SC443EMS. They matter most when a conventional connector or adjustment knob is awkward to use.
This is not a higher-capacity or suspended version of the standard Gen 3. It retains a 300-pound capacity, a top speed up to 4.23 mph and EZ Turn steering with a 39.2-inch turning radius. Paying attention to that distinction helps you judge Platinum on what it actually improves, rather than expecting extra range, a larger seat or rough-terrain capability from its name.
A deck and seat that need to fit together
The sloped front deck gives additional choices for where to rest your feet, while the textured surface is easy to clean after ordinary outings. A 17-by-17-inch mesh-back seat provides a compact sitting area. Its seat-to-deck adjustment range of 16.38 to 17.83 inches changes leg position, but a rider needing a deeper cushion or extensive postural support should evaluate more than the generous-looking deck.
The foot-pedal mechanism allows the tiller angle to be changed without relying on a small hand-operated knob. Set the steering reach before driving, with your back supported and your elbows in a comfortable position. The delta handles and soft-touch controls are arranged around a console containing a horn, battery meter, speed setting, ignition and forward/reverse throttle levers. Accessibility is about reaching and operating those controls comfortably, not just having them present.
Transport still involves five separate pieces
Feather-touch disassembly divides the scooter into five components, with a 36.2-pound front section as the heaviest piece. The standard seat weighs 23 pounds. This is a component-loading travel scooter rather than an intact folding unit, so the owner needs to allow for repeated lifting and reassembly. A manageable front section does not mean every task can be done from a seated position.
Without batteries, the assembled scooter weighs 83.6 pounds. Published totals rise to approximately 103 pounds with the 12Ah system and 111 pounds with the optional 18Ah batteries. Those distinctions affect platform-lift selection and the weight of the battery box you will remove for trunk loading. Check the trunk opening and where each part can sit securely without using the seat back or tiller as improvised carrying points.
Magnetic charging and realistic distance
Charge360 removes the need to align charger pins precisely: the connector attaches magnetically and lights to indicate a connection. The specified off-board charger is 3.5 amps. This makes the connection process easier, but charging still needs a suitable outlet and the correct routine for the two 12-volt sealed lead-acid batteries. Do not substitute a charger from a different battery chemistry because its plug appears compatible.
For the 12Ah batteries, Pride lists up to 7.1 miles at 300 pounds and 8.9 miles at 220 pounds. The optional 18Ah setup increases those figures to 11.3 and 14.1 miles respectively. Choose between packs by the route and the extra handling weight, not by selecting the largest range number without its conditions. Gradients, repeated stops and battery condition can reduce distance, so preserve a return-trip reserve even on familiar outings.
Useful equipment without an outdoor makeover
The large front basket and front and rear pathway lighting are included in the manufacturer configuration. Alternative shroud colors are accessory choices. Regenerative and electromechanical braking provide the specified stopping arrangement, and the low-speed control response should be learned before using the tight steering around pedestrians. EZ Turn helps with maneuvering; it does not permit fast cornering simply because the scooter has four wheels.
Solid 7-inch front and 8-inch rear tires require no inflation, but the scooter has no suspension. Ground clearance is 1.29 inches at the motor despite the 3.5-inch under-deck measurement. Maintained paths and indoor floors suit it better than loose gravel, steep cross-slopes or broken surfaces. The Gen 3 Platinum is a considered choice for riders who value easier adjustment and charger handling every day, provided its compact seat and travel-scooter terrain limits match the intended use.
