WHILL Model C2 Power Wheelchair

The Model C2 pairs a compact power-chair base with WHILL's omni-directional front wheels, allowing the chair to move sideways as well as turn in place. The manufacturer lists a 29.9-inch turning radius, up to 12.4 miles per charge and a 300 lb user capacity. The range is a maximum and varies with rider, route and battery condition; it is not a guaranteed daily distance.

Choose the seat and control position

The current configuration offers 16-, 18- and 20-inch seat options, with the joystick mounted on the left or right. Confirm seat size, control reach and armrest fit with the rider before ordering. The app can display battery information and offers control functions; review the owner's manual and safety guidance before using remote movement.

Plan transfers and transport

WHILL describes the C2 as folding/disassembling in four steps for transport. Top Mobility lists a 42.8 lb heaviest piece, so check whether the rider or caregiver can lift and place that component and measure the vehicle's storage opening. WHILL lists a separate 250 lb limit for the foot support during transfers; do not confuse it with the chair's 300 lb user capacity. Follow the transfer instructions and keep the chair stable while entering or exiting.

Battery and surface limits

The removable lithium-ion battery is approved for airline travel, but confirm current battery documentation and acceptance with the airline before flying. WHILL lists an IPX4 weather rating, a 2-inch obstacle clearance and a maximum incline of 10 degrees. Avoid submersion, and follow the manual for operating limits on slopes, obstacles and wet surfaces. Measure doorways and turning areas against the selected seat width before purchase.
