VersaHaul VH-MSXL Extra-Large Mobility Carrier

The VH-MSXL is an outside-vehicle carrier for a larger mobility scooter or power wheelchair. Its platform is listed at 61 x 33 inches, with a 61-inch ramp and a 500 lb device capacity. The ramp can fold upright, lie flat or be removed, while the carrier tilts up when empty to reduce how far it projects behind the vehicle. This larger setup improves loading access but adds significant weight and length at the hitch.

Check the Device and Ramp Fit

Measure the device in its travel configuration, including wheelbase, overall width, tires, footrests, tiller or joystick and accessories. Compare those measurements with the 61 x 33 inch platform and confirm that the device can roll up the ramp and be positioned over the tie-down points. A device below the 500 lb rating is not automatically compatible if its wheels or frame do not fit the platform. The ramp is listed at 61 inches long and 32.5 inches wide; check the approach space needed to deploy it.

Loading, Securement and Stowage

The mesh platform provides a loading surface, and 13 tie-down openings are listed for positioning securement hooks. Use suitable restraints and follow the instructions for loading, ramp removal or folding, tie-downs and travel. The carrier's anti-tilt locking device helps reduce movement at the receiver but does not secure the mobility device by itself. When unloaded, the platform can tilt up; confirm that the ramp and any accessories are stored as directed.

Vehicle and Hitch Limits

Top Mobility lists compatibility with Class III or IV hitches. Check the vehicle's own rear carrying limit, hitch rating, tongue weight and payload with both the carrier and mobility device included. The carrier itself is listed at 120 lb, so do not compare the 500 lb device capacity with the vehicle's allowable load in isolation. Account for rear clearance and the added length when backing, parking, entering a garage or crossing steep driveways.

Compared to aluminum, zinc alloys can be harder and stronger, machine more easily, have superior pressure tightness, and have substantially better wear and bearing characteristics. Zinc alloys become viable choices when aluminum is inadequate in one of these areas. Although they are more expensive on a unit volume basis, castings are potentially cost competitive when aluminum castings require heat treatment, hard anodizing, epoxy impregnation, or bronze bushing inserts.

Limited Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY The Limited Warranty on the VersaHaul Carrier. BNK, INC warrants the carrier and related components. This warranty applies to any part found to be defective due to material and/or workmanship when inspected at the factory of BNK, Inc., Winamac, IN. BNK Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace defective parts to the original purchaser at no charge other than transportation. Sale receipt as proof of date of purchase is required, which will be returned. BNK, Inc. assumes no liabilty for labor charges made in performance of this warranty. The warranty periods are as follows from date of purchase:
CARRIER FOR 1 YEAR, VOID IF: frame is broken or bent due to abuse. example: (underside scraped abusively) ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF: the carrier has been rented, used under abnormal conditions, or subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance. All warranties should be handled at point of purchase unless other arrangements are made. BNK, Inc. is not liable for any damage claim or liability cliam, personal or otherwise resulting from operation of this carrier in any way.
All transportation charges for items returned for warranty evaluation and/or replacement are to be borne by the customer. For one (1) year from the date of purchase, BNK, Inc. will repair or replace for the original purchaser, without charge, any part or parts are manufactured by BNK, Inc. and found, upon examination at our factory in Winamac, to be defective in materials and/or workmanship. All transportation charges on parts submitted for replacement under this warranty must be borne by the purchaser. This warranty does not apply to parts not manufactured by BNK, Inc.
Their manufacturer may warrant these items. This warranty does not apply to any part which has been damaged by accident, alteration, abuse, improper adjustment, normal wear, or any other cause beyond our control. Use of replacement parts other than genuine BNK, Inc. parts may impair the safety of your machine and void this warranty. IMPORTANT THIS WARRANTY IS VOID UNLESS THE PRODUCT REGISTRATION CARD IS FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND RETURNED TO THE FACTORY AT WINAMAC, IN. WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS OF PURCHASE. OUR WARRANTY COVERS OUR PRODUCT FOR ONE YEAR. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO EXCHANGE USED VERSAHAUL CARRIERS FOR REFUNDS OR NEW CARRIERS.

This unit is delivered via UPS or FedEx.

The following conditions apply:
  • This item has a 20% Restocking Fee.
  • You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • The product must be new and unused and in the original packaging.
  • All accessories and items that were included in the box must be returned.
  • Items canceled after the product has already shipped will be considered a return.
  • Delivery and service fees are not refundable.
  • Custom-made by the manufacturer to suit your specific needs are non-returnable.
  • An RA (Return Authorization) from Top Mobility must be requested within 15 days of delivery.
  • The item must be shipped back to the address noted on the RA within 15 days.
  • Once approved, your refund, minus any restocking and freight fees, will be issued to your original form of payment.
