EZ-ACCESS SUITCASE Singlefold Portable Ramp

The SUITCASE Singlefold is a portable aluminum ramp with a full-length folding hinge, ergonomic carrying handles, slip-resistant tread and a self-adjusting bottom transition plate. Top Mobility lists 2- to 8-foot lengths at 30 inches wide. Ramp weight increases with length, from 11 lb for the 2-foot model to 47 lb for the 8-foot model, so consider both the slope needed at the site and who will carry and position the selected ramp.

Choose Length for the Rise

Measure the vertical rise and available run at the doorway or threshold, then consult EZ-ACCESS's slope and load guidance for the selected length and intended use. A longer ramp requires more approach space; choosing too short a ramp can create a steep angle. Do not assume that every length is appropriate for every wheelchair, scooter or user.

Fold, Carry and Set Up

The ramp folds once for storage and is carried using its built-in handles. The continuous hinge is designed to ease setup and reduce pinch points, but keep fingers clear while opening and closing it. The self-adjusting bottom plate helps meet the ground surface; confirm that the ramp sits securely at both ends and does not shift before use. Check the tread and transition surfaces regularly.

Top-Lip Extension

A top-lip extension is a separate add-on that increases the ramp lip from 3 to 9 inches. It may help clear the rear bumper of some SUVs or vans, but confirm that it suits the actual landing, ramp length and vehicle before ordering. It is not included automatically with the standard ramp.

Verify the 2- to 8-foot length, 30-inch width, selected ramp weight, site rise and run, slope/load guidance and whether a top-lip extension is needed.
