Proactive Protekt Aire 7000 Mattress System

The Protekt Aire 7000 combines lateral rotation, low-air-loss, alternating-pressure and pulsation functions in one mattress system. Proactive lists a 660 lb maximum weight capacity. Its lateral-rotation modes support left, right or full turns with adjustable angles and 10–95 minute turn cycles; the alternating-pressure cycles are selectable at 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 minutes. The pump also offers static and constant-low-pressure modes, pulsation, auto-firm inflation, a Fowler detector and panel lockout.

Mattress size and item codes

Proactive lists item 80070 as 36 × 80 × 8 in and item 80070-42 as 42 × 80 × 8 in. Confirm the complete-system item and bed-deck dimensions before ordering. The current Top Mobility page's 48-inch option appears linked to a 36 × 80 × 8-inch item; verify that selection with the seller before checkout. That link remains unchanged.

Operation and safety

The system has an 18-bladder cell-on-cell mattress design, with alarms for power failure, low pressure and service errors. Proactive describes a two-stage Fowler detector that stops turning at 20 degrees and increases pressure output at 45 degrees. A clinical team should determine whether the modes and settings fit the patient's care plan and follow the owner's manual for setup, transfer mode, alarms, cleaning and compatibility with the bed frame and rails.
