Proactive Protekt Aire 6000 Low Air Loss Mattress System
The Protekt® Aire 6000 combines low-air-loss and alternating-pressure therapy in a mattress system with a deluxe digital pump and cell-on-cell support base. Its LED touch panel offers four alternating cycles (10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes) to support clinician-directed therapy. The seat-inflate feature adds support when the patient is in a Fowler position, and Max Firm mode helps inflate the mattress quickly.
Digital pump and therapy controls
Static mode provides a firm surface for getting into or out of bed and for seated use at the mattress edge. Audible and visual alarms indicate low pressure, power failure or alternating failure. Follow the owner's manual and the care team's instructions when selecting settings or responding to alarms.
Cell-on-cell mattress and cover
The cell-on-cell design uses a one-way valve to retain air in the lower 4 inches of the cells during a power failure. Eighteen laser-cut holes support low-air-loss airflow. The quilted nylon top cover is fluid-resistant and antimicrobial/antibacterial, and the pillow-top feature helps limit unnecessary head and neck movement during alternating mode.
Sizes and setup
The standard system measures 36 x 80 x 8 inches. An 84-inch length and optional foam raised rails are also available; verify the selected configuration and bed compatibility before ordering. Maximum weight capacity: 450 lb. Have the patient's clinician determine whether this support surface and settings are appropriate, and follow the owner's manual for installation, use, cleaning and maintenance.
