Proactive Medical Protekt 100 Foam Mattress

The Protekt 100 is a foam mattress surface for pressure redistribution; it is not a bed frame. The manufacturer lists a 350 lb weight capacity and 36-inch width in 76-, 80- and 84-inch lengths. The mattress is 6 inches thick, with an optional raised-rail configuration; confirm the selected size and rail option before ordering.

Foam and cover

The mattress core uses high-resilience 1.5-density foam with a 28 ILD rating. Its vapor-permeable nylon top cover is fluid resistant and has a low-friction surface. A full-length zipper and protective flap support cover removal and help shield the foam core from contamination. The fire sleeve is listed as meeting 16 CFR Part 1633.

Fit and care

Measure the bed deck and confirm mattress length, width and rail configuration before purchase. The nylon cover has a two-year limited warranty and the foam core has a four-year non-prorated warranty, according to Proactive Medical. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and care instructions to protect the cover and mattress core.
