Magic Mobility Frontier V6 All-Terrain Mid-Wheel-Drive Power Wheelchair

The Frontier V6 is Magic Mobility's outdoor-oriented mid-wheel-drive power wheelchair, using low-pressure all-terrain tires and articulating front bogie arms. Sunrise Medical describes the bogies as supporting curb climbing and the tire/suspension arrangement as helping the chair manage uneven ground. That design does not remove the need to follow the manual's terrain limits or confirm the exact setup: the V6 is splash-resistant, not waterproof, and its seating, tires and power functions are selected as part of a custom order.

Outdoor Capability Has Specific Limits

The low-pressure tires and articulating front bogies are intended to help the chair manage outdoor surface changes. The manufacturer's material identifies the V6 as the strongest curb-climbing model in the Frontier range, but that comparison is not a numeric curb-height rating. Check the exact owner's manual for the permitted obstacle, slope and water-exposure limits before planning a route. All-terrain does not mean unrestricted off-road use. The existing listing specifically cautions: keep the powered chair out of rivers, creeks and the sea.

Measure the Full Footprint

The published all-terrain width is 28 inches, with a 23.5-inch turning radius and a length of 41.3 inches without the footrest. These dimensions are a starting point, not the completed configuration: front rigging and seating can extend the chair's footprint. Measure the narrowest doorway, elevator, turning area and vehicle access point, and leave room for the footrest and selected seating. A chair may clear an opening and still lack the space to turn into the room or approach a table.

Capacity and Seating Depend on the Build

Sunrise lists a 400 lb user capacity for the base configuration. With power tilt and/or seat elevation, the listed limit is 350 lb. The option can change how the rider is positioned, but it also changes the capacity rating; confirm the complete combination rather than carrying the base figure over to an upgraded chair.

Seat dimensions depend on the chosen system. The rehab seat is listed in widths from 13 to 23 inches and depths from 13 to 24 inches. The Comfort (MPS) seat is listed in widths from 16 to 22 inches and depths from 16 to 20 inches; seat-to-floor heights are listed at 17, 18 or 19 inches. Back height also varies by system. These are option ranges, not one seat size included with every chair. Work through the order form with the rider's measurements and support needs before comparing price or requesting a final quote.

Speed, Weight and Transport

The manufacturer lists a top speed of up to 6 mph and a product weight starting at 320 lb. The finished weight depends on selected seating and functions, so plan for the built chair rather than the base figure alone. Check the vehicle lift's capacity and platform size, the vehicle payload and the loading method before ordering. This is a substantial powerchair, not a folding travel chair that can be lifted into a car trunk as a single light piece.
