Interstate SLA1104 12V 12Ah AGM Battery Pair

The Interstate SLA1104 listing contains two sealed 12V, 12Ah AGM batteries. The product information identifies the model for cyclic and standby applications and describes Absorbent Glass Mat construction. The 12Ah rating is for each battery. This is a pair of batteries, not a prewired battery pack, so the connected equipment determines the system voltage and how much capacity is available in use.

Match the Model and Required Quantity

Before ordering, check the model number on the installed batteries and the battery specification in the equipment manual. Confirm that the device calls for two SLA1104 batteries, or that its manufacturer approves this exact replacement. Similar voltage and capacity markings do not establish a fit: physical size, terminal type and orientation, wiring arrangement and charger requirements also matter.

Use the Equipment's Original Wiring

The pair's role depends on the device's circuit. Do not treat the two 12V ratings as a 24V pack unless the equipment is designed and wired that way, and do not reconfigure the battery connections to change voltage or capacity. If the batteries are installed as a matched pair, replacing both together with the same model keeps the specifications aligned. Follow the manufacturer's service instructions for disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries.

Verify Connections and Charging

Inspect the installed terminal style and cable arrangement, then compare them with the replacement and equipment documentation. Confirm that the charger is intended for the battery chemistry and exact system configuration; a charger that simply has a matching voltage may still be unsuitable. If the label, terminal layout or manual is unclear, confirm the replacement with the device manufacturer or a qualified service provider before installation.
