Harmar AL010 Micro Scooter Hitch-Mount Platform Lift

The AL010 Micro is an exterior hitch-mounted lift for a compatible scooter weighing up to 135 lb. A keyed switch and toggle control power the platform up and down; after unloading, the empty deck folds manually against the vehicle. The listed setup uses a rear-wheel cradle and four tie-downs to secure the scooter. This is a compact carrier for one unoccupied scooter, not a passenger lift or a fully automatic fold-and-stow platform.

Position the Scooter and Secure It

Check the scooter's weight and dimensions against the AL010 and confirm that its rear wheel and frame align with the cradle and tie-down points. Place and secure the scooter according to Harmar's instructions before raising the platform or traveling. Verify that the tiller, seat, armrests and accessories do not interfere with loading, the vehicle or the lift's movement. A scooter within the 135 lb limit still needs to fit the carrier and be restrained correctly.

Operating and Stowing

The powered mechanism raises and lowers the loaded platform; the key switch helps control access to lift operation. The empty deck folds manually after the scooter is removed. Plan for that physical step, including reach and balance, and keep bystanders clear of the platform's path. Follow the manual for tie-down tension, electrical connection, operation and travel checks.

Vehicle Fit and Configuration

Confirm the mounting type, receiver, vehicle ratings and installed clearance before ordering. The lift and scooter add weight at the rear of the vehicle, and the deck changes rear overhang and access when stowed. Check driveway angles, parking and garage clearance with the actual vehicle and hitch. Optional swing-away arms, a battery pack, a plate riser or camera systems are listed separately; verify vehicle-specific fit and which accessories are included in the selected configuration.

Before Ordering

Give the dealer the scooter model, weight and dimensions, vehicle details and receiver information. Confirm the rear-wheel cradle, four tie-downs, wiring and manual-folding operation for the chosen setup. Use the owner's and installation manuals and never exceed the vehicle or hitch manufacturer's limits. The AL010's 135 lb capacity applies to the carried scooter, not the total load the vehicle may support.

This unit is delivered via common LTL carrier on a pallet. This will be left curbside for standard delivery. Some carriers schedule delivery appointments.
