Longer-run planning

Guldmann recommends choosing the longest ramp that the site can accommodate for a gentler gradient. Its general maximum guidelines are 1:7 for user-operated manual wheelchairs and 1:5 for helper-assisted manual or electric wheelchairs. Check actual site geometry and local requirements; a longer ramp still needs secure, level placement at both ends.

Construction and distributed load

The ramp uses fiberglass and carbon fiber, a broad non-skid driving surface and a lengthwise folding design. The listed maximum distributed load is 660 lb. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for load placement and handling.

Storage and setup

2050 mm (80.7 in) is the selected ramp length. Verify that the longer ramp fits the approach and does not obstruct the surrounding route; plan storage for the folded ramp when it is not in use.
