Planning the gradient

The manufacturer advises using the longest ramp possible for a gentler slope. General maximum gradients are 1:7 for user-operated manual wheelchairs and 1:5 for helper-assisted manual or electric wheelchairs. Actual suitability depends on the rise, approach, landing and local requirements, so verify the complete route rather than relying on length alone.

Material and capacity

The Stepless Lite is made from fiberglass and carbon fiber and has a broad non-skid driving surface. Its listed maximum distributed load is 660 lb. Ensure the load and placement comply with the manufacturer's instructions.

Folding transport and selected size

The ramp folds lengthwise for easier storage and transport. 1250 mm (49.2 in) is the selected length. Check the entry and landing transitions and ensure the ramp is secure before use.
