Golden Technologies GP164 BuzzAbout Power Wheelchair

The GP164 BuzzAbout is a rear-wheel-drive travel power chair with a 300 lb user capacity. Golden describes a high-back seat, offboard charging and four-piece disassembly. Motion-activated LED running lights on the footplate and rear handle illuminate when the joystick is moved.

Transport and setup

The chair separates into four pieces for loading and storage; Top Mobility lists the heaviest component at 34.8 lb and the assembled chair at 124 lb. Check whether the rider or caregiver can lift that part and verify the disassembled pieces fit the vehicle. Reassemble and reconnect the chair as directed before use.

Range varies with rider, route, terrain, battery condition and operating conditions; treat 11 miles as a maximum estimate, not a guaranteed trip distance. This unit is delivered via common LTL carrier on a pallet. This will be left curbside for standard delivery. Some carriers schedule delivery appointments.

  • An RA (Return Authorization) from Top Mobility must be requested within 15 days of delivery.
