The GP130 is a compact center-wheel-drive power wheelchair with independent four-wheel suspension. Golden lists a 300 lb capacity, a 21-inch turning radius and a top speed of 3.85 mph. Its compact footprint may suit tight indoor turns, but measure doorways and turning clearances along the actual route.

Battery, range and travel

The chair uses a removable 12.5Ah lithium-ion battery and is listed for up to 12.5 miles per charge. Actual distance varies with rider load, terrain, temperature, battery condition and driving style. Keep a return reserve and use the supplied charger. Golden describes the battery as airline-friendly; confirm current airline and carrier requirements for the specific battery label before booking.

Folding and loading

With the seat removed, the chair folds to about 10 inches high. Golden lists the base at 46 lb without the seat and batteries, and the complete chair at about 74 lb. The compact folded height does not make the entire chair a light one-piece lift: plan how the base, seat and battery will be handled and secured in the vehicle.
