A Folding Design With a Real Lifting Requirement

The main body weighs 47.5 lbs. without the seat and batteries. The seat with arms weighs another 12 lbs., and the sell sheet lists each removable battery at 5 lbs. Golden gives an assembled weight of 65.5 lbs.; that is not the weight of the heaviest individual component. Removing the seat and battery reduces the load for a single lift, but the folded chassis still needs to clear the vehicle's loading sill. Four carrying handles give the loader different grip positions rather than making the weight disappear.

With the seat removed, the body folds to a maximum height of 12 inches. A kickstand supports vertical storage, which can be useful in a closet or beside luggage where floor area matters more than height. Measure the actual cargo opening and the storage space behind it before choosing this format. The optional travel bag is separate equipment; a folded scooter does not automatically become a suitcase that can be wheeled through every stage of a trip.

Compact Seating and Everyday Maneuvering

Combined range means using the packs in succession, not obtaining nearly 22 miles from the larger battery alone. The rear basket can hold the spare so it is available when the first pack needs replacing.

Those range figures are based on a 200 lb. rider and vary with rider weight, driving surface, terrain and battery type. Plan a return-trip reserve instead of treating the published distance as a fixed itinerary. Off-board charging and removable packs let the battery reach an outlet without moving the entire scooter. For air travel, obtain the carrier's approval for the specific batteries and its handling instructions before departure; compact dimensions do not establish airline acceptance.

Controls, Braking and Suitable Surfaces

Electronic speed control and electro-mechanical brakes are fitted, along with a freewheel mode for moving the scooter manually. Freewheel is a handling setting, not an alternative driving or parking brake, and needs to be returned to the driving position before use. Have the control response and mode change demonstrated during setup. The tiller also carries a USB port and drink holder, keeping frequently used items within reach.

Solid, low-profile tires avoid routine inflation. The 6-inch front and 7-inch rear wheels are better matched to firm, reasonably even routes than loose ground or broken paths. Clearance is 4 inches under the deck but only 1.5 inches at the motor/transaxle; the higher number is not a curb-climbing allowance. Front and rear lighting, baskets and a cane holder are included. The CarryOn's strongest case is compact storage with practical daily conveniences, not replacing a larger suspension-equipped scooter for rough outdoor journeys.
