Featherweight Wheelchair
The Featherweight Wheelchair, also known as the Feather Chair sets a new standard for manual wheelchairs and is one of the lightest wheelchairs available today. Utilizing all-new materials the Featherweight Wheelchair is so lightweight that almost anyone can lift it into their vehicle for transport. While many wheelchairs can weigh upwards of 35 pounds, the Featherweight weighs only 19 pounds fully assembled and an impressive 13.5 pounds with the optional pop-off wheels removed. Whether you are operating the wheelchair self-propelled or with the assistance of a caregiver, the Feather Chair is easy to use and takes less than a minute to fold or unfold. The legrests come in either a swing-away or elevating configuration. Optional anti-tipper wheels are also available to prevent the wheelchair from falling backward for added safety.
The Featherweight Chair wheelchair is a breeze to transport. The Featherweight easily folds into a compact and easy-to-lift package in no time. Simply fold the backrest down, then pull the middle section of the seat upwards and your wheelchair is ready for storage or transport. For additional convenience, quick-release rear wheels are available. This optional upgrade allows for the rear wheels to be removed quickly and easily, allowing for more convenient storage and reducing the weight of the Feather Chair from an already ultra-light 19 pounds to an astonishing 13.5 pounds, making it one of the lightest wheelchairs on the market!
The Feather Chair includes two sets of brakes as a standard safety feature. Wheel locks at the front of the frame stop the wheelchair from unintentionally moving forward or backward and can be easily reached by the user. The handbrakes are located in the push handles at the rear of the Feather Chair for use by a caregiver. This integrated brake system operates similar to the brakes of a bicycle, just squeeze to slow or stop the wheelchair. The handbrakes can also be locked into place by pushing them toward the ground. The optional anti-tippers add an additional layer of safety by keeping your wheelchair from tipping backward.
Limited Warranty
The Feather Chair comes with a limited warranty and the following coverage:
- ● Frame: The manufacturer warrants the frame of its mobility chair under normal use for a period of 1 Year (12 months). The manufacturer will at its sole discretion, repair, replace, any warrantable frame that fails within the warranty period.
- ● Wearable Parts: 6 months on all wearable parts including wheels, upholstery, brakes, footrest.
The warranties herein specified shall not apply if the failure of any component of this product to satisfy such warranty is due to accident, neglect, misuse, improper transportation arranged by the purchaser or its agent, or causes other than ordinary use including operation contrary to the manufacturer's operating instructions or if any person other than the manufacturer's authorized personnel shall modify, adjust, or repair such product or perform any related service on it. It must be understood that the purchaser assumes full responsibility for the overall safe operation in the environment for which the product is intended to function.
Warranty Exclusions
- ■ ABS plastic body shrouds and footrest covers are wear items and not warranted.
- ■ Tires and tubes
- ■ Upholstery and seating
- ■ Repairs and/or modifications made to any part without specific prior written consent from the manufacturer.
- ■ Circumstances beyond the control of the manufacturer.
- ■ Labor, service calls, shipping, and other charges incurred for repair of the product unless specifically authorized by the manufacturer.
- Damage caused by:
- ■ Abuse, misuse, accident, or negligence
- ■ Improper operation, maintenance, or storage
- ■ Commercial use, or use other than normal
