Proactive Protekt Aire 6000AB Low-Air-Loss Mattress System

The Protekt Aire 6000AB combines low-air-loss and alternating-pressure therapy in a cell-on-cell support surface with raised side air bolsters. Proactive lists a 450 lb maximum weight capacity. The bolster design is intended to reduce accidental roll-outs and entrapment risk; it does not replace an individual fall-prevention plan, appropriate supervision or a clinician's assessment of bed-system compatibility.

Pump functions

The digital pump offers four alternating cycles (10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes), a seat-inflate feature for the Fowler position, max-firm inflation and a static mode. Audible and visual alarms indicate low pressure, power failure and alternating failure. Proactive's cell-on-cell design uses a one-way valve to retain air in the lower 4 inches of the cells during a power failure. Follow the owner's manual and the treating clinician's instructions for setup and settings.
